ABSTRACT: The Role of Community Partnerships in Supporting Vocational Programs examines the impact of collaborations between vocational institutions and local communities on program effectiveness and student success. This study investigates how community partnerships contribute to enhancing educational resources, work-based learning opportunities, and student engagement in vocational education. The objectives were: to analyze the benefits and challenges of community partnerships in vocational programs, to assess the effectiveness of community-engaged learning in vocational education, and to propose strategies for strengthening community collaborations. A survey design was chosen to gather comprehensive data from vocational educators, community leaders, and students, providing insights into partnership dynamics and outcomes. A sample size of 200 respondents was selected using a purposive sampling technique to include stakeholders with direct involvement in community partnerships and vocational education. The case study focused on the Kaduna State College of Education, Gidan Waya, Kaduna State. Findings indicated that community partnerships enriched vocational curricula, provided practical learning experiences, and improved student retention and employability. It is recommended that vocational institutions should establish formal partnership agreements with local businesses, NGOs, and government agencies, engage communities in curriculum development and advisory boards, and promote service-learning initiatives to foster mutual benefit and support for vocational programs.
